Diplomacy Classroom: The Iran Hostages’ Homecoming

The Iran Hostage Crisis began on November 4, 1979 when 52 Americans were forcibly detained by Iranian militants until their release on January 20, 1981, for a total of 444 days in captivity.

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of their release, Diplomacy Classroom welcomes NMAD Collections Manager, Eric Duyck, who will share the story and significance of the items which bore witness to the ordeal.
