#HerDiplomacy: Eugenie Anderson and Cold War Diplomacy

a Diplomacy Classroom event

August 11th, 2020 | 1:00PM – 2:00PM EST

Tune in here for a discussion of trailblazing diplomat Eugenie Moore Anderson. In 1962, Anderson became U.S. Minister to Bulgaria and the first American woman to serve as a Chief of Mission behind the Iron Curtain. NMAD’s Education Director Lauren Fischer and Public Historian Dr. Alison Mann will explore how Anderson championed American diplomacy during the height of the Cold War.

This Diplomacy Classroom is part of NMAD’s #HerDiplomacy series, commemorating the 100th anniversary of American women gaining the right to vote. The #HerDiplomacy online exhibit can be found here!
