On Tuesday, September 24, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm EDT, the National Museum of American Diplomacy (NMAD) invites you to drop by our Fall Open House to view our new and departing exhibits:

• NEW Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection showcasing a selection of former Secretary Albright’s famous pins. 
• The Road to NATO: Building the Transatlantic Alliance, featuring the original 1949 North Atlantic Treaty on loan from the National Archives and Record Administration. Closing September 26th.
• Treaties on De-Fences, an art exhibition from artist Jorge Otero-Pailos. Closing September 25th. 

This December, the museum will be temporarily closing its doors to begin the next phase of construction on new exhibitions, so if you have been waiting to visit NMAD, now is your chance! View all of our current exhibitions.

Arrival Instructions

NMAD is located at 330 21st St NW, Washington, DC 20006, in the Harry S Truman Building. Visitors must enter at the 21st Street entrance to the U.S. Department of State (the glass building on 21st Street between D Street and C Street, NW).

Please arrive on time to allow ample time for security processing. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry (e.g. passport, U.S. driver’s license).
