Explore NMAD’s Teacher Resources in Spanish

View in

The National Museum of American Diplomacy (NMAD) is proud to showcase our suite of Teacher Resources that we have recently translated into Spanish. These resources include classroom activities, videos, and a diplomacy simulation.

Translating our materials is part of NMAD’s broader initiative to make our resources accessible to a broader audience. NMAD plans to translate all of our Teacher Resources into Spanish, as well as additional languages in the future.

To browse our resources currently available in Spanish, website visitors can visit the “Recursos Docentes” page or simply toggle Teacher Resources home page to browse available resources in Spanish.

One of our signature resources translated into Spanish is our diplomacy simulation, “International Migration Crisis: Human Rights and Border Security.” In this simulation, all of the materials, including tent cards, stakeholder sheets, name tags, and the student booklet, have been translated into Spanish.

Our animated “Foundations of Diplomacy” videos are also available in Spanish. In these videos, the subtitles have been translated into Spanish and are available on YouTube. We have also translated all the discussion questions and Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) prompts for each video.

Some of our key classroom activities are also available in Spanish. For example, the Object Choice Board activity allows students to explore and analyze signature items in our collection.

Multilingualism is an essential part of diplomacy. Through the mutual respect and admiration of all languages, diplomats can foster better relationships around the world.

We look forward to seeing how Spanish-speaking classrooms take advantage of our free resources and discover diplomacy.
