  • Dayton Accords: Diplomacy Ends a War

    By 1995, the Bosnian War had already claimed 200,000 lives and displaced 2 million others. On November 1, 1995, American diplomats brought the presidents of Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia to the negotiating table to end the war. These negotiations took place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base outside of Dayton, Ohio. The agreement that came out of these discussions would be known as the Dayton Accords.
